Richard and his assistant were here to replace a water tank. They arrived on time and provided excellent service.

Alec did a fantastic job of bonding our gas & electric and also installing a whole house surge protector. He was on time, very courteous and cleaned up any mess that was involved. He made sure we understood what he was doing ahead of time and followed through. I never have to worry who's doing the work when Five Star sends a technician!

He was knowledgeable, kind and answered all my questions.

I was charge $1400 to have my sump pump replaced (a 20 min job). When the technician was at my house he mentioned the total charge as I had not received a quote from the company. I commented that $1400 seemed pretty high. He pulled up the cost of the sump pump on his device. The sump pump the technician installed was $350. He said that if I provided my own pump I would be charged $600 to have them come out and install it. So, my question was, what are the additional $450 for? I am ok paying it, if I know what I’m paying for, but the information from the technician just wasn’t adding up to the full charge. I reached out to Five Star to ask for an invoice. It came with a one line summary of the total cost of the work. I asked if they could please send an itemized invoice and explained the reasons I just mentioned above. After a bit of insisting, they forwarded my request to the manager. The attached photos are a screenshot of his response and mine.

Not to mention that a second technician had to come out and redo the work that same evening because it wasn’t done properly.

A dead neutral fix for 2 rooms in my house is costing me $1600. That's why this isn't a 5. Otherwise, Johnathan did everything he could to find the problem and provided great service. That's just a LOT of money to run maybe 20 feet of neutral line from one outlet to another. First visit took 2 electricians and about 5 hours to diagnose the original issue, then was told "It needs fixed immediately" and that they'd cut power to two rooms of my house for TWO WEEKS before settling on another solution. Hmmmmm.
